Discontinued Fragrances (Till Further Notice)

In an effort to maintain “The World’s Finest”^® product quality, please note that select items in Caramel Macchiato and Fir Champa fragrances are currently not available due to unsatisfactory performance. Please read below for further details.

Caramel Macchiato

An ingredient in the formula is no longer available. Without this ingredient, the character of the fragrance is changed. Several modifications have been tested with the intent to match the current fragrance character exactly. To date, we have been unsuccessful at creating an exact match. The resolution is to discontinue Caramel Macchiato with plans to re-release a new version in the fall. The following items are currently not available for purchase:

Fir Champa

Fir Champa was recently pulled from our shipping pick lines because the candles exhibited unacceptably high levels of fragrance oil leaking out. Investigation into the problem has resulted in a need for reformulation. The resolution is to discontinue Fir Champa in the Heritage^® sizes until further notice. The following items are currently not available for purchase:

Summer Catalog Kick Off!

May 1st kicked off the new Gold Canyon Summer Catalog! There are some changes with this new catalog and I think they are great changes.

There are two candle lines that got the ax. I know what you are thinking...how can this be a good thing...so let me explain. Have any of you loved the smell of the Pillar Candles, but thought the price was too high? Have any of you liked the Inspiration Candles, but felt you would rather have the smell in the Heritage Jar? Well, Pillar and Inspiration are gone and the popular scents are now available in the Heritage Jars! The new Heritages from these two candle lines are: Heather & Hyacinth, Tranquil Mist, Citrus Cream, Fruit Fusion, Sparkling Apricot, Yuzu & Ruby Red, Cedar Woods, Fir Champa, French Vanilla & Buttercream and Tangerine & Spice.

More great additions has also been made to the Pod Warmers and Scent Pods. As you can see in catalog cover picture, we have a new Picture Perfect Pod Warmer ($36.98) and we also have another called Revolution ($34.98) that is new. I don't have a picture of Revelution to share, but it is cylinder shape and is tapered in the middle (like a woman's silloutte). It is a brownish/black color close to the color of wrought iron. Some new fragrances are also available in the Scent Pods that I have been questioned about over and over. The new one's are Burning Bright, Currant, Grass, Lavendar & Black Ambre and Marigold. Some seasonal favorites are out as well, such as Casaba Melon Sunset, Coconut Mango Breeze, Really Root Beer and Sliced Watermelon.

Gold Canyon has also come out with a completely new product with the Summer Catalog, the Scentmate. It is a personal fan diffuser that you use scented oils on a pad and the smell is dispelled through the room by an internal fan. You can see it on the bottom of the catalog cover. I have not tried one yet because I ordered one on May 1st and they went on back order really quickly. I am not sure what is going on there, but I am NOT encouraging any of my customers to buy one until I get mine and can give my honest opinion about them. I like happy customers! Hopefully I will have one the first week of June.

Also, I just want to remind all of you that may be holding on to coupons from the "Strike It Gold" promotion that was going on the first couple weeks of the year to please use them. They expire on May 31st! Also, if you have not burned all your 26oz. jars that qualified in the "Strike It Gold", get to burning because only 2 of the 10 gold coins have been found, so you could be a lucky winner of $5,000!!!!

I have enjoyed doing this Lucky 7 Party. One of my participants ended up selling so much, she is doing her own Catalog Party to keep all the benefits for herself! I still think it was a success. While talking to Kelly Clark, she told me that she had hit her goal and then said "Now tell what I've won! haha!! The suspense is KILLING me!! This was a lot of fun, and you should definitely do it again!" Hopefully I can do another Lucky 7 Party in May or June.
